The biggest concern homeowners face with any shower door is water leakage.
Here are a few tips to help you prevent water leaks from installation and beyond.
Make sure any blade seals, and water diverters are properly installed and not damaged. These may be located on either the bottom of the glass panels (horizontal) or on the sides of the glass (vertical).
Ensure shower heads are not pointing directly on the glass door panels for sliding glass doors and that the inner panel is closest to the shower head. For pivot doors, the shower head should be opposite of the pivot hinge (same side as the door opening)
Don’t rinse the shower glass panels off with the shower head either as this may cause leakage. Use a squeegee to remove water.
Fully and properly closing shower doors when bathing so water doesn’t escape from where the door panels meet the wall
Using caulk/silicone as directed where it is required on the bottom track to help prevent water leakage
